A Breath of Spring: Between Work, Natural Beauty and Culture
Leaving the frenzy of the city to dive into the peace of the countryside is a luxury that few can afford. Today I had this fortune and my heart filled with joy, immersed in the lush nature that surrounded me.
My day began at dawn, with the sun just beginning to rise over the horizon. I prepared myself for a day in the fields, knowing that the outdoors would fill my spirit with energy and vitality. As I walked along the trails, I breathed in the fresh, pure air, feeling the earth awaken beneath my feet.
Then, suddenly, I saw something magical: a tree in bloom, whose beauty left me breathless. Its branches were covered with delicate pink corollas, like precious gems that shone in the sunlight. It seemed as if spring was painting a lively and enchanting picture right before my eyes.
At that moment, I understood that nature was announcing its awakening after the winter months. The air was filled with the sweet scent of flowers, while the birds sang cheerful melodies among the branches. Every element around me was in perfect harmony, dancing to the rhythm of the new season.
As the day drew to a close, I looked up and saw the convent of Santa Maria di Colleromano, located on a nearby hill. This ancient monastic complex stands on a hill overlooking the surrounding valley. Its origins date back to the 13th century, when it was founded by Franciscan friars. Over the centuries, the convent has been expanded and renovated, reflecting the different architectural and cultural influences of the region. The church, dedicated to Santa Maria, is adorned with works of sacred art such as frescoes, paintings and sculptures, witnesses to the artistic and spiritual richness of the time.
The Convent of Santa Maria di Colleromano is much more than just a historical building; it is a place full of meaning and symbolism, embodying the very essence of Abruzzo and its rich cultural and spiritual heritage. Its imposing silhouette stood out against the pink sunset sky, emanating a serene quiet that permeated the entire valley. It was a moment of contemplation and gratitude, as I realized the eternal beauty that surrounds us.
Today was a special day. I realized that life in the countryside is not just work, but also a celebration of life and nature. And as the sun set, I thanked the heavens for the privilege of living such precious moments, which remind me of the beauty and wonder of the world around us
